This shirt is just something special.
Let’s start from “wabash”: what is this? Wabash is a fabric probably older than denim, introduced in USA around 1840s-50s. Even if “formal”, this fabric was used by rail workers across the nation.
It’s pinstriped, but actually the stripes are dots in line, made by drops of starch on the indigo fabric.
This, itself, makes this fabric “legendary” and unique. There are lots of modern versions and garments made of this fabric: shirts, trousers, jackets etc. But we wanted to make something very special, so for this shirt we picked up an indigo japanese corduroy wabash fabric! You have the look of wabash, but also the texture of corduroy and the “magic” of indigo. The shirt comes pre-washed ( we do not want you to leave fades and indigo stains on your car seats..) but it will fade over the years, as denim does, becoming a “one of a kind” shirt on you. This shirt is just something else.
Barbanera style has always been a mixture of different elements combined together. Our shirts and apparel collection embodies the same philosophy. Some year ago we decided to launch a collection of western shirts ( a must-have in every man wardrobe) made in a pure “sartorial” way.
Featuring customized western pockets, 100% italian artisanal manufacturing, authentic Japanese and Italian fabrics, mother of pearl snaps, original “southwest” concho buttons made in USA and much more.
Slim/regular fit, made of japanese checked cotton or italian cotton corduroy, the FDP shirt is perfect for an informal “badass” look with jeans, trousers or even under classic suits and jackets.
